If you wish to futureproof a proposal you have for your land, and that proposal currently complies with all the rules in the District Plan, then we can apply on your behalf for a compliance certificate to be issued.

This compliance certificate is a statement from Council that your proposed activity is complying, and needs no further consent.

Accordingly if the rules change in the future you, as the holder of the compliance certificate, should still be able to continue with your proposed development.
