Rural Development
Development in the rural area can take many forms. The first that
springs to most people's minds is subdivision. Subdivision can be
undertaken for several reasons:
- Allow smaller units of land capable of more intensive farming
- Creation of rural residential lifestyle blocks
- Rearrange existing land holdings so that ownership more appropriately
reflects the land use
Other forms of development that can be undertaken in the rural area
include:
- Change of land use, e.g. Stock Farming to Viticulture - Horticulture
to Tourism
Paterson Pitts is the logical choice to coordinate and direct rural
development and planning. We can assist by advising on District Plan
matters, and by providing advisory services to land owners or developers.
